The Good Connection

When I was a kid my maiden name was Goodknecht...(Gutknecht). Some of my friends called me......Good-Connection! As a kid I used to laugh, it really didn't bother me, but until recently it was just a funny joke. What I have come to realize is learning how to have a good-connection is something worth talking about!

Let's look at the word connection:  the complete path between two terminals!

Now let's look at the word good: competent, skilled, pleasant, fine, useful and adequate. So when we look at the 2 words we could simply say it means; a competent, complete path that is useful between two terminals?!

I promised you in the last few blogs that I would tell you how to get better connected to a living God! Let's go over some of the things I have discussed in other blogs. The bible says in Jeremiah 29:13; And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. There is another scripture in the bible that is equally useful it is: James 4:8; Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Simply meaning, we can't be thinking about cooking dinner and try to have a GOOD-CONNECTION to God in the same moment. Unless your asking Him how to cook??

I did not grow up in church! I knew nothing about Jesus, God, the Holy Spirit...ANYTHING! I only knew the media's version of heaven, God, Jesus, angels and demons, right?! My preconceived ideas about Jesus, finding Him, all the above, were a little off to say the least! One year after my mother died I asked everyone I talked to if they could tell me about heaven?! The answers I got led me into a complete state of confusion! Because of my own inability to find the truth easily, I have dedicated my life to give others what was never given to me.

Jesus is actually REALLY EASY to find, as long as your heart REALLY wants Him. That is what those 2 scriptures in the bible ARE trying to say. It is totally up to us whether we find Jesus or not. He wants us to abide in Him all the time. Unfortunately we have become so self-reliant the only time we reach for help is when nothing else works! :-(!

We were actually created to ask for help all the time. We were created to have a close intimate relationship with Jesus. That is the reason why we have a longing that even chocolate won't get rid of! NOTHING else will EVER get rid of the LONGINGS, that can ONLY be filled with Jesus!

Unfortunately when we fill ourselves up with a lot of stuff, we simply have left NO room for the one who should really matter. So what do we do??? We open up our hearts....clear our minds of all confusion or distracting thoughts, and get faith that Jesus is real and longs for us to long for him!!! Then we start activating FAITH attitudes and an open heart full of heartfelt words towards Him!

Here is a photo of Jesus serving us! His whole life was and is an offering to us, for us! He is the most beautiful and radiant offering of love that there is!!! NOTHING can compare to His beautiful life of perfect love! It IS what we ALL long for, He IS the only one who SATISFIES!

Here are some quick, rapid fire ways to find Jesus and maintain a GOOD-CONNECTION to Him! Rid yourself of any and all distractions! Open your heart and start crying out for His presence to overwhelm you! Don't stop asking (crying out), until He shows up! 

Here are some things He loves: ALL OF OUR ATTENTION! When I started to understand the things that separated me from Him, I began to get rid of them! I pray you will understand, when we are face to face with Jesus Christ, nothing else can compare. He desires a heart, full of love and passion towards Him. The more passionate our heart and words are towards Him, the more He will reveal who He is to us and the better connection we will have with Him.

Finding Him is EASY, staying connected to Him is even easier, when we choose to make him the most important thing to us! It took me 10 years to figure this out. I pray it will take you less than 30 days to make Him your top priority :-)!

 Jesus come into my life, I long for you in my life now!!! I have tried everything to bring my own happiness and joy into my life. Although I may or may not have a great life, I believe that you are more valuable than anything that I have and more! I would throw my whole life away for a moment with you! Cause my heart to long for you, I really am not sure what to do? Help me find you Jesus, be real to me, I need to know that you are real!!
