Do Not Conform/ Be Changed

Since the end of January 2013, I have been pressing towards the prize in a way that I haven't for years. I prayed for the Lord to change me, for years!!! One day last fall, I simply asked what it would take for me to change? In less than a second I heard, be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Romans 12:2

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. 

As soon as I heard that, I began to ponder what it meant? I read my bible, I meditated on it, how could I do more with the allotted time I had each day?? At the time I had been working 7 days a week for almost 3 years. I am a wife, mother, business owner, and involved in ministries at my church. Then it came to me, I would buy an IPod and download the word of God!! It was the only option I had.

This is what has been happening since I listened and obeyed! The very first thing that happened was loosing the uneasy feeling in the pit of my stomach!! I had it my whole life, most of it was gone, but then all of it left! I began receiving favor everywhere I went!!!! I got, cloths given to me, lunches, coffee, miscellaneous items (too many to say), given to me, services given to me, an abundance of peace, and love for the hurting rising up in me like never before! I hear His voice louder than ever! I have more vision, clarity, passion, conviction, anointing, and power!!

Downloading the word of God while I go about my day is easy! During the night I wake up to parts in the bible that change me instantly. I am overwhelmed with His goodness. I have more faith!!!

One of the best benefits is having more faith!!! I am believing in things I missed my whole life! I remember the day I listened to Daniel, I thought wow!!! I had to hear it over and over again! Where had Daniel been my whole life??? This guy is awesome!! The boldness and faith he had to stand face to face with the ruler and say, "MY GOD CAN RESCUE ME! He may not, but HE CAN!" Wow!!!! That changed me that instant!

But here is what I was wanting more than anything, for me to be different. What has happened to me, I hope I can explain well? My thoughts are different!! I used to be plagued with doubt, fear, apprehension, and insecurities!!! Each day I walk in a new level of freedom I never had and always wanted! I am sincerely changing and can say boldly, the word of God has the power to transform a life! I am starting to feel like me again, the person before the pain, disappointments, injustices and bad choices!! You can be changed too!

So I say to you, if you like the results that I have gotten, why don't you do it?? Get your IPod and download the the bible. Listen to a version that really GRABS YOU! Plug in the word of God and watch as you start responding to it, how you too can be changed!

Lord give us a heart to know you more! Give us a passion for your word and your ways! We love you Jesus and want to embrace all that you are!! Thank you Lord!! Thank you Lord!!
