Who could we become if we put all of our ideas in a waste basket and caught them on fire?
As I have spent the last 20 years with Jesus Christ, through His word, and the Holy Spirit, one thing rings out over and over again in my heart; tear down every thought that tries to exalt itself against the knowledge of Christ!
2 Corinthians 10:5
We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
Luke 16:15
But He said to them, You are the ones who declare yourselves just and upright before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is exalted and highly thought of among men is detestable and abhorrent (an abomination) in the sight of God.
Based on this, I am counting it a blessing, a privilege, a quest to know nothing except the will of God for my life. I am adamantly working towards the knowledge of who He is to radiate in my innermost and outermost parts! I want to know less information that keeps me separated from who He is and just know Him more, so that He can have His way in my life!
Why am I writing this, you may be asking? Quite honestly I would love to see the core of who you are be shaken too! I would love to see a revolution of people who refuse to compromise, refuse to be halfhearted, refuse to walk in complacency and settle for the status quo!
What if we threw away all of our ideas and replaced them with God's ideas? Who would we be? How would we treat others? What would our work place look like? What would our marriages look like? What would our children look like? What would our churches look like? Who could we become if we just believed God at His word and became it?
That is what we, the people of God, are supposed to do!! Here is another thought, do you understand that the only people that Jesus condemns in the bible are ............His own people, the ones who go to church!!!?? EEEEKKKK :-0!!! He does not go around pointing fingers at, thieves, murderers...and the like! Why....because they were only acting the way that they knew how to. The people of God are supposed to know a different way, thus producing different results!
Food for thought; Who could we become if we put all of our ideas in a waste basket and caught them on fire and replaced them with the thoughts and ideas of Christ?
